Such amazing numbers have alerted the rest of Europe to the energetic 24-year-old.

While Chelsea had young sensation Rasmus Hojlund as a target to fill the centre forward position, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, they have now identified Osimhen as their priority target.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have also been credited with an interest and when asked about Bayern’s interest in Osimhen, manager Thomas Tuchel said, “I have an opinion on that… but I know how things work.

It’d spill over to Italy, my colleague there will say, ‘why doesn’t Tuchel keep his mouth shut?’ So I’m not going to talk about players of other clubs.”

Both Chelsea and Bayern are in dire need of a proven goalscorer and Osimhen cuts across as a young player, like Man City’s Erling Haaland, who can certainly deliver the goods for years to come.

However, Chelsea are out of the Champions League next season and the Nigeria international has already expressed his desire to play in Europe’s premier competition next season.

Napoli are demanding a fee in the region of £130m for their star man, who helped them to win the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years and also became the first African to win the Capocannoniere, the Serie A top scorer award.
