NCAA Slams Six-Month Ban on Fuji Star K1 De Ultimate Over Airport Safety Breach
Newslens NG reports that the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has placed a six-month ban on popular Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, following a dramatic incident at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, that reportedly endangered passenger safety.
The altercation, which occurred on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the domestic terminal during boarding for ValueJet Flight VK 201 bound for Lagos, triggered a serious security alert. According to official reports, K1 was involved in a disruptive confrontation with airline staff and security personnel after allegedly attempting to board the flight with prohibited items.
Following a swift investigation, the NCAA, in collaboration with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), declared the musician a security risk and imposed a six-month travel ban from all Nigerian airports.
In a statement issued by the NCAA, the regulatory body emphasized that aviation safety and passenger security remain non-negotiable, and no individual, regardless of status, would be allowed to compromise operational procedures.
“This sanction is meant to serve as a deterrent to all air travelers. The airport is a sensitive facility, and any act that poses a threat to the safety and orderliness of flight operations will be met with decisive action,” the statement read.
Efforts to reach the artist’s management team for comments were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
This latest development has sparked widespread debate on social media, with many calling for celebrities to be held to the same standards of discipline and accountability as other citizens.
