JUST IN: Gov Aiyedatiwa Dissolves Cabinet, Sacks Late Akeredolu’s Aides
The Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Wednesday dissolved the State Executive Council with immediate effect.
Aiyedatiwa ordered all commissioners and special advisers to immediately hand over to the most senior civil servants in their respective ministries.
The Ondo governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, said Aiyedatiwa appreciated the executive members for their contribution to the state.
According to the release, “All members of the Cabinet are to immediately hand over to the Permanent Secretaries or the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices.
“Also, all Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) are relieved of their duties, with immediate effect. All the affected officials are directed to hand over all government properties in their possession.
“The Governor thanks the affected officials for their services and contributions to the development of the State.”
The Acting Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Thursday, presented the state’s 2024 budget to the House of Assembly.
The Acting Governor arrived at the Assembly around 4 PM and was accompanied by some cabinet members.
