Dangote Refinery IPO: Investors Can Now Subscribe Through Moniepoint POS Agents
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has expanded access to its ongoing Initial Public Offering (IPO), allowing prospective investors to subscribe for shares through participating Moniepoint Point-of-Sale (POS) agents across Nigeria.
The initiative is aimed at widening retail participation and bringing the opportunity to invest in the refinery closer to millions of Nigerians, particularly those who rely on agency banking for financial services.
Under the new arrangement, interested investors can visit participating Moniepoint agents to complete their share subscription through the approved process.
The refinery’s shares are being offered at N525 per share, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares, translating to an entry investment of N5,250.
Investors are also allowed to subscribe multiple times during the offer period, providing an opportunity to gradually increase their shareholdings.
The company said the use of the Moniepoint agent network was part of its broader objective of making investment opportunities more accessible and building one of the largest shareholder bases in Africa.
According to the company, leveraging agency banking infrastructure would help reduce barriers to capital market participation, especially in communities where conventional financial services may be less accessible.
The company said the initiative aligns with its ambition of having millions of Nigerians become direct shareholders in the refinery and participate in its long-term growth.
Prospective investors subscribing through Moniepoint agents are required to complete transactions through the approved subscription process and retain their receipts as evidence of payment. Confirmation of successful subscriptions will also be sent via SMS to investors’ registered telephone numbers.
The company advised prospective investors to read the IPO Prospectus carefully and seek professional advice from licensed stockbrokers or financial advisers before making investment decisions.
Details of the approved subscription channels and the Prospectus are available through the IPO portal.
The development comes as the Dangote Petroleum Refinery seeks to broaden participation in its share offer by making the subscription process accessible beyond traditional investment channels.
