According to a news that was published by the Daily Trust Newspaper online this morning, it was reported that a top source in the All Progressives Congress APC, while speaking with Trust correspondent, has revealed the reason Tinubu has not nominated any minister to represent Lagos State.

It was reported that the omission of Kano State in the 28-man list of ministerial nominees that was submitted to the Senate on Thursday, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, may not be unconnected to the uncertainty that is surrounding the former governor of the state, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who it was gathered was Tinubu’s favourite candidate from the North-West zone.

Daily Trust reported that a top source, who spoke on condition of anonymity said that the post-election romance, between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and the resignation of the former APC’s National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, which now creates a vacuum, were the factors believed to be responsible for the non-inclusion of Kano State in the released ministerial list yesterday.

The source said, “Tinubu omitted Kano State because of two reasons. Some days after Abdullahi Adamu resigned as the national chairman, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, tipped Abdullahi Ganduje to succeed him (Adamu), which majority of us believe might be the reason for his absence in the ministerial list that was forwarded to the National Assembly.”

Further talking, he said, “There is also the issue of the election petition tribunal. Tinubu wants strong personalities in the states, not just Kano, so that if there would be a rerun in the presidential election, they would eventually deliver votes for him.”
