JUST IN: Osinbajo 2023 Campaign billboard surfaces in Abuja [PHOTO]
A large presidential campaign billboard showing the picture and name of Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has emerged in Abuja.
This development is coming amidst heavy rumours that the VP is gearing up to become the party’s flagbearer in the highly anticipated electoral exercise.
POLITICS NIGERIA recalls that Osinbajo is serving his second and final term of four years as the Vice President alongside the President Muhammadu Buhari.
The campaign banner had the inscription, “Join us, Nigeria asks for Osinbajo 2023.” Though no party’s name or logo was inscribed on the large banner, it had the name of a group, ‘The Progressive Project 2023’ as the sponsor.
Several pressure groups are already pushing for the Professor of Law to throw his hat fully into the ring. This has also generated controversy as it is widely known that the national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is also said to have his eyes on the top seat.
