The result was announced on Sunday after the collation of results from the state’s 30 local government areas. Adeleke won in 19 LGAs, while Oyebamiji secured victory in 11 LGAs. The ADC candidate, Najeem Salaam, finished a distant third with 17,180 votes. citeturn0news1turn0news13

The declaration means Adeleke has secured a second term in office as governor of Osun State, following his victory over the APC candidate and other contestants in Saturday’s election. citeturn0news10

The election attracted widespread attention as Adeleke, who assumed office after defeating the APC’s Gboyega Oyetola in the 2022 election, sought another term under the Accord Party platform.
