INEC Commends EFCC on 2023 Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC on October 23, 2023, commended the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC for showing professionalism and doggedness in sanitizing the last concluded general election in the country.

This commendation was made when a delegation, led by Yakubu Muhammad Dukku, the Administrative Secretary of the Kaduna State INEC branch, visited the Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC on a Courtesy Visit. Dukku said the aim of their visit was to commend the EFCC for its doggedness and the display of professionalism in the conduct of the last general election.

“No doubt, the professionalism displayed by the Commission in the last general election is commendable and worth emulating. The vital role played by the EFCC during the electioneering exercise which made the exercise successful cannot be ignored”, he said.

Satisfied with the effective involvement of the EFCC in sanitizing the system, Dukku further seeks the involvement of the Commission in another collaboration at the forthcoming re-run elections, scheduled to hold within the year in some parts of the state.

Responding, Acting Zonal Commander of the Kaduna Command of the EFCC, Assistant Commander of the EFCC I, ACE1 Aisha Abubakar, commended INEC for finding the commission worthy to be part of the entire exercise. She further assured the delegation of the Commission’s readiness to continuously collaborate with INEC in future endeavours geared towards making Nigeria greater.
