Glo, Samsung Roll Out New Galaxy Z Foldables for Nigerian Customers

 Samsung, the globally renowned electronics brand, on Thursday partnered with digital solutions provider Globacom to host a masterclass at Gloworld in Opebi, Lagos, unveiling the next-generation Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold8.

These cutting-edge foldable devices signal a significant advancement in mobile technology, leveraging the advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset to unlock accelerated processing, upgraded Galaxy AI functionalities, and seamless multitasking.

The event drew an audience of tech enthusiasts, corporate associates, and journalists who participated in interactive demonstrations, exploring the lineup’s productivity ecosystems, creative tools, and AI integrations.

During the launch, Solomon Osibeluwo, Samsung’s Product Manager for EIP & MNOs Business, praised Globacom for driving shared initiatives that make pioneer tech widely available to Nigerian users.

“The Galaxy Z Fold8 introduces Samsung’s new passport-inspired design, making it slimmer, lighter, and more portable. With enhanced display brightness, Vision Booster, and anti-reflective technology, users get a superior viewing experience even in bright sunlight. Galaxy AI also helps users communicate better, create content faster, and work more efficiently.” he said.

Mohamed Rabie, Director of Gloworld, emphasized that the alliance focuses on providing “real value” to its customers, highlighting special incentives like complimentary mobile data packages for Globacom subscribers.

He disclosed that customers can pre-order the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold8 at all Gloworld outlets nationwide from July 22 to August 20.

Rabie added that each pre-order comes with 10GB of free Glo data monthly for six months, and a Glo eSIM with a Premium Number, Samsung Care+, flexible payment options and other benefits valued at up to ₦1 million.

Through the masterclass, Samsung and Globacom reiterated their dedication to making cutting-edge technology accessible, supported by exclusive connectivity and a customer-centric approach.
