In a press statement, the company explained that the Play Up Lottery is one of its many initiatives aimed at appreciating loyal customers, especially as the festive season approaches.

Winners were selected through a transparent raffle draw conducted across different regions of the country, followed by a rigorous verification process to confirm ownership of the winning numbers.

Play Up offers Glo subscribers a simple and engaging platform to turn small predictions into million-Naira rewards. To participate, users only need to pick a lucky number between 1 and 9 for a chance to win. They can dial *400# on any Glo line or send their chosen number via SMS to 400. Each entry costs just ₦100, and participants may either subscribe daily or play on demand.

A live draw holds every Friday at 4 p.m. at the Glo Head Office in Victoria Island, Lagos, where weekly winners of ₦1 million are announced. At the end of each month, a grand prize winner walks away with ₦10 million.

One of the beneficiaries, 48-year-old Engineer Edward Worgu from Port Harcourt, described his win as a divine intervention. “I didn’t believe it initially, but after a Glo customer care representative kept reaching out, I decided to visit the Lagos regional office. To my amazement, it was true. My wife is currently hospitalized, and this money will greatly assist with her treatment. It’s a miracle I never expected,” he said.
