Burna Boy’s ‘Twice As Tall’ Snubbed As Wizkid, Davido’s Albums Bag Headies Nominations

The list of nominees for the 2022 Headies Award has been released with most of the heavyweights in the African music scene receiving nominations.

Albums such as ‘A Better Time’ – Davido, ‘Barnabas’– Kizz Daniel, ‘Made In Lagos (Deluxe Edition)’ Wizkid, and others were nominated in different ‘best album’ categories.

However, Burna Boy’s Grammy-winning album ‘Twice As Tall’ was left without a single nomination in all the ‘best album’ categories.

Also, Wizkid’s “Essence” and Ayra Starr’s “Bloody Samaritan” were among the singles that bagged multiple nominations.

The nominations were announced on Tuesday on the Headies’ official Instagram page, where it was revealed that the award will hold in the United States.

The nomination list also included some first-timers like Portable, Magixx, and other fast-rising artistes.
