Before the APC presidential primary that produced Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the candidate, the first man of God that spoke against another APC Government and Tinubu’s presidency was Primate Elijah Ayodele.

During a live service at his church then, Primate Ayodele said in a video that went viral that if APC and Tinubu are allowed to rule Nigeria again after former president Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria will sink.

In the video, he mentioned to the lovers of APC and critics that he is ready to accept whatever insult they will hurl at him because of his prophetic warnings but that will not stop him from delivering God’s message to his people.

The man of God mentioned that Nigeria will become tougher than it is then and that there will be an economic crisis and serious poverty in the country.

These are some of the excerpts:

‘’ I’m not saying anyone should not insult me, I am not scared of any human being. If Nigeria votes APC in 2023, things will be tougher. We will see human beings and want to eat them like food. This is how God told me. I am not saying you should not criticize me or say anything against me even as an APC member, I warned you in 2015 too. You want to vote for lies in 2023, if you vote for the party that has a broom as their symbol, I pity churches. I am not against anybody and I don’t vote, Nigeria will be tough. If you vote and Tinubu enters, there will be serious problems.’’

‘’ If Nigerians vote for APC in 2023, the country will sink, we will swim in poverty, and the economy will be in shambles. If APC wins, Nigeria will suffer extraordinarily. We have not yet seen hardship; if APC wins, the real hardship will come. The economy will be sick.’’

When the man of God shared this prophecy, many APC members and lovers of Tinubu criticized him and called him a prophet of doom. They called him unprintable names because they felt Primate Ayodele was speaking as a result of personal issues with the APC presidential candidate.

However, the prophet has begun to be vindicated following the present troubles in the country just 24 hours after APC’s President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in.

Tinubu announced that the fuel subsidy has been removed yesterday and this led to panic buying among Nigerians. Filling stations were filled up with queues and the price was as high as N600/Ltr in some parts of the country. Although the presidency has urged people not to engage in panic buying, it seems to be uncontrollable and the queues are yet to disappear in major parts of the country.

Also, for the first time in the history of Nigeria, we woke up to the news of the Department Of State Services (DSS) taking over the office of the Economic and financial crime commission (EFCC) in Lagos over an ownership tussle. The news was perceived as rumors until both agencies confirmed the story.

This can be described as a bad omen for the new administration and as Primate Ayodele said, the country has started witnessing crisis and hardship in different sectors.
