Tensions Melt as Tinubu Forgives Sanwo-Olu After High stakes GAC Plea

Newslens NG reports that In a reconciliatory turn of events, President Bola Tinubu declared on Sunday afternoon that he had put aside all grievances against Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, stating clearly that “all is forgiven.”
The president’s gesture followed a closed-door meeting with members of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), who had gathered to mediate and appeal for forgiveness on behalf of the governor and other individuals who may have drawn the president’s ire.
Welcoming the president to Lagos, GAC Chairman Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi acknowledged Tinubu’s recent displeasure with certain figures in the state, notably Governor Sanwo-Olu. He pleaded earnestly for clemency, emphasizing unity and peace within the party ranks.
Multiple sources confirmed that President Tinubu, moved by the appeals, responded with a definitive, “It’s all over now. All is forgiven,” reassuring everyone present that the matter had been laid to rest.
In a moment reflecting deep respect and contrition, Governor Sanwo-Olu and GAC members reportedly prostrated before the president, a cultural gesture of apology and submission to cement the reconciliation.
Notably, the meeting avoided rehashing past disagreements. Instead, the focus was on resolution, with Tinubu choosing forgiveness over confrontation.
