“I’m privileged to be a gospel singer after Surviving deadly car accident, Stroke” – Adeyemi Omotope

A Ondo State born gospel singer, Adeyemi Omotope Adeboye has said that he feels highly privileged being a gospel singer after he was able to survive a very terrible accident where he escaped death.

In an interview with newslensng.com, he said ” I never believed I would be alive today and I give all glory to God. I remember when I had a very terrible and mysterious accident where some life were lost, I had to survive through oxygen after I was rescued at Owo hospital by one of the best doctors in ondo state.

” After I had escaped death, I concluded that God had a purpose for keeping me alive after the incident and that was what made me think I need to always sing his praises,” He said.

The isua born singer also explained how he was affected by stroke for years before he later recovered.

He recounted how he lost his father at a very tender age and he was left with his lonely mother throughout his journey.

The sensational singer told Newslens that he was once an addicted marijuana smoker before he was called by God.

According to him “I was already addicted to smoking hard substances before I met God and a lot of people criticized me for that, but I thank God I am now a changed person.

“I faced stiff challenges from Co-gospel musicians who tried to pull me down and discourage my progress,” he stated.

While commenting on where he wish to see himself in the next five years, he stated that he only believes in God’s plan for him and that only him can take him to the position that suits him.

The singer also explained that one of his greatest desires was for Nigeria to return to a time of peaceful co-existence between people of different religions.

Speaking on what he is most grateful for, Omotope explained that he thank God for keeping him alive despite all the challenges life threw at him, God miraculously came through for him.

Talking about things people did not know about him, he said he was born and brought up in isua Akoko and his dad is late but his mother is still hale and hearty.
Over the years, Aeyemi Omotope has serenaded music lovers with amazing covers and renditions of popular gospel songs that have captured the hearts of many. His Song “Ologojulo” is one of the virals that brought the vibrant worshipper into prominence.

Influencing large followership of several tens of thousands across all his social media, the Nigerian-born singer has become a favorite of many, both young and old cutting across several generations from X to Z.

The new song of gratitude which bears the thumbprints of his unique supernatural sound is a major call back to Christ who he affirms as his source of everything.
