Following the report, the Divisional Police Officer immediately deployed operatives to the scene. The swift response, aided by the cooperation of vigilant members of the community, led to the arrest of one of the suspects.

The suspect was identified as Okemiri Ogonna (male). Preliminary investigations revealed that he is a member of a criminal syndicate believed to be operating across state boundaries, with its base reportedly located outside Ondo State. Police sources disclosed that the syndicate had been under discreet surveillance for some time over its alleged involvement in a series of cross-border burglary cases in Ore and surrounding areas.
