Ex-Super Eagles star, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, have grown a good relationship with British Professional boxer of Nigerian descent, Anthony Joshua
Former Super Eagles and Everton striker, Yakubu Ayegbeni, has been making waves off the football pitch and has been spotted joining British professional boxer of Nigerian descent, Anthony Joshua, in training session.
The ex-heavyweight champion, known as ‘AJ,’ is currently preparing for an anticipated showdown with Deontay Wilder. However, negotiations for the fight’s official confirmation have hit a roadblock.
Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn had been reportedly close to securing a deal for a thrilling bout between the two heavyweight fighters in Saudi Arabia.
Unfortunately, progress in finalizing the fight has stalled, leaving Joshua with some extra time for unconventional training partners.
Upon this, the Super Eagles legend recently shared a picture on his official Instagram page, showcasing himself and the former world champion training at the Finchley and District Amateur Boxing Club in the United Kingdom.
In the picture, Aiyegbeni and Joshua were pictured triumphantly raising their fists and covered in sweat.

This is not the first instance of the Super Eagles legend joining Joshua for training. They previously collaborated a few years ago when Joshua held the World Boxing Association title.
In 2017, Ayegbeni was captured alongside the 33-year-old boxer during a training session at the same location.
The photos and videos shared by Ayegbeni on his social media accounts depict him displaying his boxing skills and punching prowess.
While Joshua continues his preparations for the highly anticipated fight against Deontay Wilder, fans eagerly await further updates on this exciting matchup in the world of professional boxing.
