It was an afternoon of inspiration, passion, and purpose as Zolon Healthcare Ltd., a subsidiary of the Emzor Group, hosted a live webinar in celebration of the World Pharmacists Day 2025.

The event was held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at the Executive Conference hall of Emzor’s state of the art Sagamu manufacturing campus, a perfect backdrop for the motivation and engagement that followed.

Dr. (Mrs.) Stella Okoli, OON. Is an icon, trailblazer, and one of Nigeria’s most respected figures in the pharmaceutical industry and it was not surprising that the virtual session drew over 500 pharmacists across the country, eager to learn from her remarkable journey spanning over four decades.

Moderated by Pharm. Bello Achilike and Pharm. Maureen-Freda Anike, the interactive session allowed participants to engage directly with Dr. Okoli as she shared her story of vision, leadership, and resilience.

She spoke passionately about integrity, innovation, youth empowerment, and the future of pharmacy in Nigeria, reminding attendees that gender should never be a limitation to success.

“Anybody can achieve whatever they set their mind to with hard work, vision, determination, and God’s grace,” she said.

Dr. Okoli also revealed that her lifelong passion for ensuring access to authentic, quality, and affordable medicines continues to drive her mission. This commitment, she noted, inspired her to ensure that 70–80% of medicines from Zolon Healthcare are locally manufactured, a reflection of her belief that Nigeria can achieve medicine security through local production.

Her words reignited a sense of pride and purpose among participants, underscoring the vital role of pharmacists in public health and national development.

“Hard work doesn’t kill,” she smiled, “and the reward for hard work is more work.”
