Mixed Reactions As Nigerians Exposes  E-Naira App Inefficiencies

Barely 3 days after the launch of Nigerian digital currency “E-Naira” in Abuja, Nigerians laments on not being able to access the app on the Google Play store.

The launch was said to increase Nigeria’s GDP by $29 billion over the next 10 years, according to President Mohammadu Buhari.

Buhari says the e-Naira will ensure faster, safer, easier, and cheaper means of payments.

He said the currency can foster economic growth through better economic activities, increase remittances, improve financial inclusion, and make monetary policy more effective.

Some Nigerians took to comment section to lay comments about the inefficiencies of the E-Naira App on Google play store after 100k downloads.

Mr. Obighwre Joshua said “too many attempt, first name did not match contact customer care. I filled everything correctly still didn’t sign me up. This app is not good try and fix it”.
