Jose Paseiro accepts pay cut to remain super eagles coach

Jose Peseiro is willing to accept a pay cut remain in charge of the Super Eagles.

Peseiro’s previous contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) ended last month.

Financially-stricken NFF has struggled to pay his $70,000 monthly salary since he took charge of the Super Eagles in May 2022.

According to BBC reporter, Oluwashina Okeleji, Peseiro is keen to take the Super Eagles to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

His salary will be slashed for him to achieve that objective.

The NFF is yet to make a pronouncement on the status of the Portuguese.

The Super Eagles have already booked their place in the competition with a game to spare.
