Mr. Agu on October 7th, 2021 was arrested by Soliders of Operation Golden Dawn in the Upper Iweka Area of Onitsha, on donning a long dress made of the colors of the Biafran flag.

The Army accused him of incitement, and of seeking support for the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, a separatist group, seeking independence for the South-east Zone from Nigeria to be called the Republic of Biafra.
