According to Abraham, his directive to his members was an authority he got from God.

Naija News had earlier reported that the Ekiti State police command invited Pastor Abraham after he allegedly asked his members for N310k to fly them to heaven.

Pastor Abraham had convinced members of his congregation to relocate to a camp in Ekiti State with him to “prepare for the end of the world” and also pay a sum of N310k to fly them to heaven.

Some of his church members have allegedly sold their properties, hoping that Jesus would meet them while camping at his church at the Araromi-Ugbesi in Omuo-Oke, Ekiti State.

There are claims that some have abandoned their families who refused to move to the camp.

The cleric in an interview with BBC Yoruba on Wednesday said, “Truly I told my congregation to pay N310,000, I made the declaration when I noticed that my members’ troubles were increasing.

“I did it because I got the authority of God who called me to practise for all that want to serve the Lord with their whole heart.

“I have never received any payment yet from any member of the church, and the Ekiti State Police has intervened in the matter.
