Police DIG Who Probed Abba Kyari, Egbunike Slumps, Dies
The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) in charge of Force Criminal Investigations Department, Joseph Egbunike has slumped and died.
It was gathered that Egbunike reportedly slumped and died in his office in Abuja in the late hours of Tuesday.
Egbunike who hails from Onitsha, Anambra State, headed the Special Investigation Panel constituted by the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, to investigate the suspended head of the Police Intelligence Response Team, Abba Kyari, over money laundering allegations.
It was reported that the Egbunike-led panel had worked to give the embattled embattled Abba Kyari a soft landing.
