Building on the outstanding success of its 2024 free prostate cancer screening campaign, which provided life-saving early detection for hundreds of Nigerian men, Polaris Bank has renewed its collaboration with the renowned Men’s Health Clinic to launch the 2025 edition of its flagship wellness programme themed “Men, Your Health Matters – Get Screened Today!”

This year, the Bank is offering 250 free prostate cancer screening slots to men aged 40 and above, running from November 24 to December 31, 2025.

Prostate cancer remains the second most common cancer among Nigerian men, yet early detection can raise survival rates to over 98%. To support this, Polaris Bank is fully sponsoring another round of comprehensive, painless, and confidential screenings, including PSA blood tests, Digital Rectal Examination (DRE), and personalised consultations with medical specialists all at no cost to participants.

Polaris Bank Managing Director/CEO, Kayode Lawal, reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to men’s health, stating:
“The impact and positive feedback from last year strengthened our resolve to continue this initiative. We are proud to remove the barriers to early detection and welcome more men into the Polaris Bank family through meaningful, health-focused interventions.”

Founder and Chief Medical Director of the Men’s Health Clinic, Mr. Akin Oteniya, also highlighted the significance of the renewed partnership:
“Our 2024 collaboration with Polaris Bank set a benchmark for corporate health responsibility in Nigeria. We are pleased to partner again in 2025 to provide dignified, expert care and save more lives through early detection.”

The programme is open to all men aged 40 and above. To ensure a seamless experience, each participant — whether an existing customer or new — is required to have a Polaris Bank account. Non-customers may indicate during registration to be contacted for instant account opening with zero balance and no charges.

Only 250 fully sponsored screening slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Results and personalised medical counselling will be delivered within 48 hours.

Through this initiative, Polaris Bank and Men’s Health Clinic continue to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by expanding access to preventive healthcare, reducing the burden of non-communicable diseases, and promoting health equity for Nigerian men.
