He was arrested last Wednesday by the Nasarawa Gwong Police Division, Jos following a complaint by one Kehinde Kamal who accused the medical practitioner of harvesting one of her kidneys during an operation in 2018.

While confirming Mr Kekere’s arrest, the spokesman of the command, DSP Alfred Alabo, said the doctor was undergoing investigations at the police headquarters.

Inside sources at the police headquarters, however, said that Mr Kekere had suddenly “turned insane”.

According to the source, Mr Kekere had torn his clothes and had been behaving insanely.

The source added that Mr Kekere had been admitted at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH, for medical examinations.

“He was in the cell and it was later discovered that he started tearing his clothes in the cell and started behaving like a mentally unstable person.
