Ondo CP Orders RESTRICTION OF MOVEMENT FROM 12 MIDNIGHT TO 6:00PM on election day, Reels out Control room Numbers

The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, CP Oyeyemi Adesoye Oyediran, psc, fsi, in line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Alkali Usman Baba, psc(+), NPM, fdc, CFR, has ordered the restriction of all forms of transportation movement within the State from 00:00hrs – 18:00hrs on the 25th of February, 2023, when legible voters would visit their Polling Unit to exercise their franchise.

This was made known by the ondo state public relations officer SP. Funmilayo Odunlami Omisanya in a press statement released today.

It was categorically stated that INEC Officials, Electoral Observers, Ambulances, Fire Fighters and others on confirmed emergency services would be considered.

Meanwhile, there will be no movement or escort of VIPs throughout the election period, while State Security outfits won’t be allowed to take part in the exercise.

In the same vein, the Ondo state commissioner of Police however assured the people of the State of adequate security throughout the exercise and equally solicits for the support of all in ensuring a peaceful conduct of the election.
