Gov Abiodun Vows To Shutdown Ogun State With Free Whisky, Beer To Celebrate Re-election

The Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, has revealed plans to shut down the state after securing victory in Saturday’s gubernatorial election.

Abiodun, who is seeking re-election, made this known while soliciting votes for the upcoming election.

In the viral snippet, the governor assured the residents that they would have the opportunity to celebrate with him after the election, adding they will all drink whisky and beer.

Meanwhile, Dapo Abiodun has threatened to order the arrest of anybody who intimidates his supporters during the conduct of the governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state.

Abiodun made the threat on Sunday at his country home in Iperu-Remo, Ikenne Local Government Area of the state, while speaking with his supporters.

The governor, who spoke in Yoruba, told his supporters and the members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) not to bow to any form of intimidation on election day.

Abiodun stated that as the Chief Security Officer of the state, he would order the arrest of anybody who poses a threat to his supporters I’m Saturday’s election.

He also alleged that his opponents have started importing political thugs into Iperu-Remo township ahead of Saturday’s election, promising to deal with them.
