PSC Releases Names of Successful Applicants for Recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has released the names of successful applicants recruited into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables, marking the completion of the recruitment exercise for 50,000 personnel nationwide.

According to the Commission, the exercise was conducted through a comprehensive, transparent, inclusive and merit-driven process in collaboration with key stakeholders, including the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, State Career and Counselling Departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC).

The PSC urged all candidates who participated in the recently concluded written examination to visit the official recruitment portal, npfapplication.psc.gov.ng, to check their application status. The portal is scheduled to go live from 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026.

The Commission also disclosed that successful applicants would receive notifications via the email addresses and telephone numbers provided during the application process.

Successful candidates have been directed to report to their designated Police Training Institutions on dates and times that will be communicated subsequently for documentation and medical screening. The Commission warned that candidates who fail to report within the stipulated period would be deemed to have declined the offer, while those who do not meet the required medical standards during screening by the Police Medical Team will be disqualified from the training programme.

Applicants are expected to report with their training call-up slips, National Identification Number (NIN) slips, Bank Verification Number (BVN) slips, original copies and photocopies of their academic credentials, alongside other required documents and items specified on the recruitment portal.

Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (Rtd.), mni, expressed appreciation to President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for approving the recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the nation’s security architecture.

He urged the successful candidates to regard their recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as a call to selfless national service, encouraging them to uphold professionalism, integrity and discipline while contributing meaningfully to the safety, security and development of the country.
