Police recovered N35m and other items From Robbers Who Raided Edo Banks

A total of N35 million, four vehicles and 3 motorcycles has been recovered a day after armed robbers invaded four banks in Uromi, the capital of Edo State’s Esan North-East Local Government Area, carrying away large sums of money in bags.

Bello Kotongs, Police Public relations Officer in Edo, confirmed this to Daily Trust on Friday night.

He said the money was currently in custody of the police together with other items recovered.

He reported how the armed gang broke into Zenith, UBA, First and Union Banks in the community, gunning down seven persons, including two security personnel into the area whete the incident occurred.

As at the time this report was gathered, the armed gang are still at large , meanwhile the Police are still hunting for them.
