Police Officer Killed as Heavily Armed Men Attack Banks in Uromi Community, Edo State (WATCH FULL VIDEO OF ATTACK BELOW)
Three banks were on Thursday evening attacked by gunmen in a siege that lasted over an hour in Uromi, Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo.
The gunmen who were alleged to have come in their number and several vehicles, attacked the three banks with dynamites simultaneously leaving the community unrest.
At the end of the operation, no fewer than five persons, including police officer, were killed by the unmasked gunmen.
They succeeded in making away with large sum of money from the three banks they attacked.
The spokesman of Police Command in the State, SP Bello Kontongs confirmed the attack but said he has no detail of the attack at the time of filling the report.
