Olubadan-Designate Hails Globacom as National Pride

The Olubadan-designate of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, has described leading telecommunications company, Globacom, as a source of national pride, urging Nigerians to continue to support the indigenous brand for sustained growth and success.

The monarch made the remark when a delegation from Globacom’s Enterprise Sales team paid him a courtesy visit ahead of his coronation. He commended the company for revolutionizing Nigeria’s telecom sector, noting that its entry into the industry broke the monopoly of high tariffs imposed by earlier operators and provided affordable communication services to millions of Nigerians.

Oba Ladoja also expressed deep appreciation for Globacom’s contributions to national development and prayed for the good health and long life of its Chairman, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr. He further expressed optimism that the company would stand in support of his coronation and reign.

Speaking during the visit, Globacom’s Head of Enterprise Sales, Mr. Adeniyi Odejobi, congratulated the Olubadan-designate on his forthcoming coronation scheduled for Friday, September 26, 2025. He conveyed warm felicitations from the Board and Management of the company and reaffirmed Globacom’s commitment to supporting the throne.

“Globacom will continue to support your office and ensure that all your telecommunications needs are met,” Mr. Odejobi assured.
