Speaking at the event, Mr. Adewale Adiatu, Enterprise South West Regional Head at Globacom, explained that the initiative also includes a Closed User Group (CUG) service, enabling seamless communication between students and staff on dedicated lines exclusive to the KWASU community.
In addition, Mr. Adeniyi Odejobi, Enterprise National Vertical Head of Glo Enterprise Sales, revealed that multiple network sites have been installed within the university to guarantee uninterrupted connectivity for users of Gloshare and the Mobile Community Plan.
The Vice Chancellor of KWASU, Professor Shaykh Luqman Jimoh, described the initiative as “historic and forward-looking,” noting that it will redefine communication, connectivity, and collaboration among students and faculty.
Similarly, the President of the Students’ Union Government, Mallam Abdulafeez Babatunde Kewulere, expressed appreciation to Globacom for selecting KWASU as the pioneer institution for the service.
