Globacom Hosts SheGlows 2025 Summit to Celebrate Women’s Wellness and Empowerment

Globacom on Friday hosted the 2025 SheGlows Summit, a vibrant gathering of its female workforce aimed at promoting wellness, empowerment, and personal growth.

The event, held at the Alliance Française, Mike Adenuga Centre, Lagos,

brought together women across various departments of the telecommunications giant under the theme “Wellness for Growth.” The initiative forms part of Glo’s commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace that prioritizes women’s well-being, work-life balance, and career advancement.

Delivering the keynote addresses were three distinguished speakers who shared practical insights on achieving holistic success both within and beyond the workplace.

Dr. Olubunmi Aboderin-Talabi, Non-Executive Director at Punch Nigeria Limited, spoke on “The Ten Stages of Wellness.” She urged participants to recognize and embrace the different phases of their lives, emphasizing the importance of rest and self-care. “You can be pitiful or powerful, but you can’t be both,” she declared.

Bunmi George, Founder of Shredder Gang, addressed the topic “Willpower and Tenacity.” She highlighted the role of discipline, moderation, and healthy living in sustaining productivity and balance. “Your muscles are your longevity organ,” she noted.

Ifeoma Williams, Global Image Consultant and Executive Presence Coach, delivered the final keynote titled “Commanding the Room: Building Executive Presence and Influence for Career Growth.” She stressed authenticity and emotional intelligence as the cornerstones of true influence. “People may forget how you look, but they’ll never forget how you make them feel,” she said, concluding with the empowering message: “Only when a woman truly glows does she grow.”

A lively panel session followed, providing participants with the opportunity to engage the speakers, share perspectives, and discuss personal and professional experiences in an atmosphere of openness and inspiration.

The summit also featured a virtual link, which enabled Glo employees from other locations to participate remotely, reinforcing the event’s inclusive spirit.

Attendees described the experience as insightful and motivating. Ifeyinwa Okoli, Team Lead, Customer Care, said the summit exceeded her expectations: “Each speaker delivered her message beautifully, and I’ve taken so much home.” Similarly, Esther Ohiomoba from Enterprise Business described it as transformative, adding, “It touched my core. My biggest takeaway is to let my brilliance serve, not intimidate.”

The SheGlows 2025 Summit concluded on a high note, reaffirming Globacom’s dedication to women’s empowerment and personal development. The company emphasized that when women glow through wellness, confidence, and purpose they truly grow.
