Tension in Kabba Kogi state As Angry Mob Set Police Barrack Ablaze Over Killing Of Young Boy

Newslensng reports an angry mob on Saturday has set the old Police barracks ablaze in Kabba town, Kogi State.

This is coming after a policeman who is yet to be identified was accused of allegedly killing of boy

It gathered that the boy was alleged to have taken a sachet of pure water from the Policeman’s man’s car to drink but later had an argument with the Policeman before he was killed.

As at time of filing this report, a team of Mobile Policemen and men of the Nigerian Army have been deployed to Kabba town.

The situation has, however, been brought under control as calm has returned to the ancient town.

The Kogi State Commissioner of Police CP Edward Egbuka confirmed the latest development to journalists on Saturday afternoon.

He said the command is currently investigating the matter.
