ONDO STATE POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBER, RAPIST
– recover gun, stolen motorcycle, Mobile Phones amongst others.
Police Operatives of the Ondo state command have arrested a suspected armed robber/rapist along Bolorunduro axis and recovered a black unregistered TVS ladies motorcycle, One Dane gun with bullets, Six mobile phones and a POS machine from him.
According to Ondo State Police PRO, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, she disclosed that a complaint of rape and armed robbery was lodged at the station by one of his victims.
“The suspect, Johnson Joseph ‘M’ aged 22 who pretended to be a good Samaritan, volunteered to help the victim where she was stranded.
“However , while on the way, he suddenly parked his machine , pointed a gun at her, robbed her of the sum of #102,000:00k and raped her” she explained.
She further stated that the suspect, was later arrested by police operatives on routine patrol in the command.
It was gathered that during interrogation, he confessed to have robbed many people of their belongings and valuables in the past.
The suspect will be charged to court after the conclusion of investigation.
