MULTI MILLION NAIRA ULTRA MODERN MICROFINANCE BANK ARRIVES ISUA AKOKO IN A GRAND STYLE

Isua Microfinance Bank has started operations in Isua, Akoko South East Local Government Area of Ondo State after its registration with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other regulatory agencies in the state.

The new microfinance bank which was commissioned at an impressive ceremony on October 30, 2021 witnessed the presence of la crème de la crème in the society is located at Obasanjo garage in Isua Akoko, Ondo State. The location of the branch takes into consideration convenience for intending customers and others who live or operate business in Isua, Ipe, Ifira, Ipesi, Sosan, Epinmi Akoko and neighbouring areas.


Checks by Newslensng have it that the bank is equipped with unique physical and technological infrastructure to ensure convenient transactions and sundry financial service delivery to potential customers in a relaxed and tranquil environment.


Speaking at the official launching, the Chairman board of directors of the bank Mr. Samuel Kayode Ogidan who is a noble son of the soil and presently has series of investments within and outside the community in his name described the bank as a well positioned institution which is committed to raise the next generation of entrepreneurs in the community and beyond.

He also assured readiness and commitment in charting new path and breaking fresh grounds in order to exceed expected investor –friendly rating. He further stated that the vision is to empower and satisfy the financial needs of its customers as well as ensuring high quality financial services available and affordable to all.

“The Bank is uniquely designed to constantly add value to lives of customers, thereby instilling in them the spirit of entrepreneurship, self reliance and respect. The bank was set up to provide credit to customers, especially small and medium scale enterprises as well as low income earners” he said.

The Deputy Local Government Chairman of Akoko South East Local Government Hon. Oripelaye Sao Lauded the initiative and described the director as a very important personality who hails from the community and always thirsty to bring developments to the community. Further speaking, he described the new bank as a very important institution and addition to the community’s developmental strides.

According to him “Isua Microfinance Bank will provide services to economically active but low income businesses, employment, engender rural development and reduce poverty in the community” he stated.


Also speaking at the ground breaking event, the olisua of Isua land, HRM Oba Akinyele Adesunloye Oyolola III said, “We are happy with the feat attained by Samuel Kayode Ogidan today as he considers Isua community as a worthy place to align with. We want the bank to do more in empowering our people especially in the area of support to Small and Medium Scale Enterprises. We pray that Isua Microfinance Bank grow and remain a partner in progress”.


In the managing director’s speech, Mr. J.B. Oludare gave a rundown of the benefits of the institution to the community and its environs, these among others include the following: Deposit mobilization and promotion of saving culture, Credit extension to customers for economic emancipation, employment generation, promoting of entrepreneurships, financial literacy and business advisory services and above all repositioning the community and its environs socioeconomically.

However, the event also gave room for individuals to open account with the bank which comes with cash gift as a canopy was set aside where staff of the bank were seen attending to people who intends to be on the list of the first customers.

The climax of the whole event came when different cultural groups and bands who were all dressed in various colourful traditional attires displayed series of local dancing steps which left guests glued to their seats for hours.

For someone visiting Obasanjo garage for the first time, one would think a political campaign rally is being held considering the huge crowd gathered inside and outside the premises of the bank.

Mr Samuel Kayode Ogidan was flanked by traditional rulers and indigenes of Isua Akoko during the process of cutting commissioning tape as heart warming musics followed.

Some of the important personalities present at the event include, Traditional Rulers, Head of institutions, Business owners, Student union leaders, Security agencies, among others.
