How Two Okada Riders Murder Nursing Mother, Sell Her Baby For N150,000

The Abia State Police command has arrested two suspects involved in the gruesome murder of a nursing mother and the sale of her baby for N150,000.
Chihurumnaya Udeh, the victim, was said to have had her life cut short by two young boys who lured her to a hotel in Abia State’s Ogbor Hill region.

Disclosing the incident in a statement at the Police Command Headquarters, Umuahia, the Abia Commissioner of Police, CP Janet Agbede, said the incident occurred at Merry Home Hotels, Aba, on April 15, 2022.

She said, the suspects, identified as Chimaobi Anyim Kalu, age 25, and David Ogwo Orji, 21, conspired and killed Chihurumnaya Udeh and absconded with her 11-months old child.

She noted that on discovering the misnomer, the proprietor of the hotel reported to the Police that the corpse of an unidentified female with a sharp cut on her neck was found in one of the hotel rooms.

When police arrived on the scene, they discovered the suspects had fled but were apprehended between May 15th and 16th, 2022.

According to the commissioner of Police, the suspects in their confessional statement admitted to administering a drug to their victim, which was a blend of yoghurt spiked with eight piriton tablets.

She felt dizzy, unconscious, and drifted off after drinking the yoghurt, before being stabbed in the neck with a shattered glass cup, resulting in her death.

They also admitted to selling her baby for N150,000, which was split evenly between the two suspects.

The CP stated that efforts are being made to apprehend two more fleeing suspects, a male and a woman, which could lead to the recovery of the stolen 11-month-old baby.
