GRV Dragged For Not Removing His Shoes, Cap During Campaign Visit To Oba Of Lagos Palace
Former presidential aspirant on the All Progressives Congress, Adamu Garba has criticized Labour Party’s gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, for not removing his cap and shoes during his campaign visit to the palace of Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu.
Gbadebo was accompanied on the visit with his father Olawale Rhodes-Vivour and some LP chieftains.
It was gathered that the LP candidate had visited the Oba of Lagos at his Iga-Iduganran Palace to pay their respect to the Lagos monarch and other traditional rulers.
Sharing photos from the visit, Gbadebo via his Twitter handle on Thursday expressed optimism, adding that he looks forward to working with the traditional rulers ahead of the March 18 governorship election.
Reacting to the Gbadebo’s visit, Adamu via his Twitter handle, shared a photo of himself at the Oba’s palace, and wrote; “Even I, a Fulani removed my cap & shoes when I paid homage at the Ooni of Ife’s palace. That’s the tradition
‘But Obidient surrogate in Lagos, entered Oba of Lagos palace with his shoes & cap. Oba, who doesn’t waste time told him Sanwo will win but he can waist around if he likes”
