Fidelity Bank Plc has announced plans to host the next edition of its Quarterly Business Forum in Kano, as part of efforts to equip businesses in Northern Nigeria with the knowledge, connections and financial opportunities needed to achieve sustainable growth.
The forum, scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, 2026, will bring together business owners, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and other key stakeholders to examine emerging opportunities and challenges within the region’s business environment.
With the theme, “Positioning Northern Businesses for Growth,” the Kano edition will focus on practical strategies that can help businesses strengthen their operations, improve financial management, access funding, adopt digital solutions, expand their markets and build sustainable enterprises.
The event follows the success of the Bank’s previous Quarterly Business Forum in Port Harcourt, which provided entrepreneurs and business owners with practical insights, industry connections and opportunities to support long-term business growth.
Speaking ahead of the Kano event, the Divisional Head, Small and Medium-scale Enterprises Banking at Fidelity Bank Plc, Ugochi Osinigwe, said the forum was designed to provide businesses with practical knowledge and access to opportunities that can improve their competitiveness.
According to her, bringing the programme to Kano demonstrates the bank’s commitment to supporting businesses across Nigeria, particularly entrepreneurs operating in Northern Nigeria.
“The Fidelity Bank Quarterly Business Forum is designed to equip businesses with practical knowledge, meaningful connections, and access to opportunities that can drive growth and competitiveness.
“Bringing this edition to Kano underscores our commitment to supporting businesses across Nigeria and, particularly, empowering entrepreneurs in Northern Nigeria with the knowledge and resources they need to unlock their growth potential,” Osinigwe said.
The forum is expected to feature sessions led by industry experts and business leaders, while participants will also have opportunities to network, exchange experiences and gain practical insights relevant to the current business environment.
The initiative forms part of Fidelity Bank’s broader efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s micro, small and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) sector through access to finance, business knowledge, capacity building and strategic networks.
The bank recently received the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) Service Ambassadors Award for the Highest Impact on MSMEs Accessing Credit for the First Time, in recognition of its efforts to deepen financial inclusion and improve access to credit for businesses.
Through its various SME-focused initiatives, Fidelity Bank provides entrepreneurs with financial services, capacity-building opportunities and platforms designed to help them develop stronger and more sustainable businesses.
Fidelity Bank Plc is a commercial deposit money bank serving more than 10 million customers through digital banking channels and its 255 business offices across Nigeria, as well as its United Kingdom subsidiary, FidBank UK Limited.
The bank has received several local and international recognitions, including the 2025 DBN Innovation Award for MSME Support, Best Retail and SME Bank Award from Independent Newspapers, Best Bank for Export & Trade Finance and Most Innovative Bank of the Year at the 2025 BusinessDay Banks and Financial Institutions (BAFI) Awards.
