Fidelity Bank Plc, a leading financial institution in Nigeria, has reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment by serving as the headline sponsor of the Gymfest Championship 2.0.

Held over the weekend in Lagos, the championship recorded impressive participation from children aged 3 to 12, competing across levels 1 to 7. Gymfest 2.0 convened gymnasts, parents, schools, clubs, and sponsors, all driven by a shared mission to nurture emerging gymnastic talent nationwide.

“As the headline sponsor of Gymfest, we are proud to back an initiative that encourages physical excellence, fosters community spirit, and inspires national pride. Gymfest is not just a competition; it motivates children to dream boldly and pursue those dreams with commitment,” Nwagboh said.

Co-founder of the Gymfest Championship and Founder of Tee Tumblers Gymnastics Club, Yoyin Akpose, also spoke on the long-term vision behind the initiative. She emphasized that Gymfest aims to create a robust ecosystem of children, parents, clubs, schools, and sponsors connected by a unified passion for gymnastics.

A standout moment from the event was the exceptional performance of Oluwatoni Pitan, who emerged as the overall best gymnast in the Level 2 Vault category.

Expressing her delight, she said, “I’m very excited because I didn’t expect this at all. This is my first Level 2 competition, and I prepared for three weeks. I encourage other female gymnasts to work hard and stay consistent — your big moment can come when you least expect it.”
