Davido Releases Visuals To Viral Hit Single ‘Unavailable’

Weeks after releasing his highly acclaimed album ‘Timeless’, Davido has released the visuals to ‘Unavailable’, a single off the album sitting atop the Apple Music Nigeria chart.

The single, which features South African artiste, Musa Keys, has amassed over 8 million streams worldwide since its release on March 31, 2023. It has also become a viral song on Tiktok for its addictive dance and Amapiano-influenced sound.

Since Davido announced the #UnavailableChallenge on March 31, 2023, more than 600 thousand posts have been created with the song on TikTok.

Davido also commented on the virality of the challenge as he thanked fans for participating. “Big love to everyone who has posted and everyone who has been dancing. We See You!” he said in a tweet.

Since Timeless was released, Davido has achieved several feats, including the album becoming the third highest charting Nigerian album on US Billboard Chart at 37 with 17,000 copies sold and debuting all 17 tracks from the album on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats songs chart.

Dammy Twitch, Davido’s go-to video director, directed the visuals for ‘Unavailable’. He has directed some of Davido’s biggest videos, including FEM, The Best, Jowo, and Stand Strong. In an interview with 99.9 Beat FM, Davido mentioned that it cost 70 million to shoot the video.

Since releasing his breakout single in Dami Duro from his debut album Omo Baba Olowo: The Genesis, Davido has released three albums – A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), and Timeless (2023).

Davido, who has cemented his status as one of Africa’s most prominent pop superstars, won the 2018 BET Award as Best International Act.
