BREAKING: Police Officer Bags Death Sentence For 2022 Christmas Day Shooting Of Bolanle Raheem
Newslens NG reports that Justice Ibironke Harrison of a Lagos State High Court has sentenced a police officer, Darambi Vandi, to death by hanging for shooting a Lagos-based lawyer, Mrs Omobolanle Raheem, to death on 2022 Christmas Day.
Vandi, who was attached to the Ajah Police Station, and his team were said to have tried to stop Raheem and her family members as they drove back home from a Christmas Day church service when the incident happened.
The lawyer was shot when the car she was in tried to make a U-turn under the Ajah Bridge.
The incident had sparked widespread criticism.
