In view of the critical needs for an intensive care ,the people who brought the victims were promptly advised for urgent referral to the next available tertiary Hospital (FMC Owo).

After an hour , the victims were brought back to the clinic in company of Policemen insisting the hospital should accept them, the medical Officer explained why referral was the best option ,as his case will be better attended to at a tertiary hospital .
They eventually agreed and proceeded to the referred hospital.

But today at about 2pm, families and friends of the victim that was brought in dead came to the hospital in their numbers claiming the Hospital was responsible for the death of their loved one.

It is pertinent to state that the medical officer referral was in the interest of the victim as a tertiary hospital is better equiped with the facilities needed for such treatment.

The driver of the vehicle is in Police custody as investigation is on going into what led to the accident.

We pray for the repose of the Souls of the departed, and also the fortitude for the family to bear this irreplaceable loss.
