Globacom Slashes International Call Rates for Over 15 Destinations

Telecommunications giant, Globacom, has announced a substantial reduction in its International Direct Dialing (IDD) rates, making overseas calls more affordable for both new and existing customers across Nigeria.

The revised rates, which took effect on August 10, apply to more than 15 popular international destinations. Calls to the United States have dropped from ₦35 to ₦30 per minute, while the United Kingdom now costs ₦350 per minute, down from ₦400. Similarly, calls to India have been reduced from ₦45 to ₦40 per minute.

Some of the most significant cuts include China (₦75), Saudi Arabia (₦300), and Cameroon (₦700). Within Africa, the new rates cover Benin Republic (₦650), Niger Republic (₦750), Ghana (₦500), and Togo (₦650). Other revised rates include the United Arab Emirates (₦325 from ₦450), Germany (₦550), Côte d’Ivoire (₦700), Libya (₦700), and Malawi (₦1,100 from ₦1,200).

According to the company, the reduction aims to provide greater value for customers and strengthen Glo’s position as the preferred network for international calls. In addition, new IDD bundles will be launched, offering even more attractive deals for frequent international callers.

Globacom urged customers to take advantage of the reduced rates to stay connected with friends, family, and business partners around the world.
