SGF, Finance Minister, AGF, Others to Grace Rear Admiral Bushi’s Book Launch

All is now set for the public presentation of the book, titled: ‘Fundamentals of Nigerian Public Finance and Accounting’.

Authored by a Rear Admiral of the Nigerian Navy, Dr. Kasimu M. Bushi, the book tends to expose readers to certain policy thrust, progress and challenges of the country’s fiscal system. The book is being reviewed by Professor Ibrahim Saleh, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences at the Federal University, Kashere , Gombe State.

The book presentation is being packaged by the famous Abuja based Institute for Governance and Leadership Studies in Africa, IGLSA. The DG of the institute, Dr. Lanre Adebayo in a chat, hints that the event will commence by 9:00pm at the Nigerian Army Resource Center, Asokoro, Abuja.

The book is a must to be read by all Nigerians especially public office holders, bankers, politicians, captain of industries as well as students of political economy.

Dignitaries expected at the book launch include the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Mr Boss Mustapha, the Honourable Minister for Finance, Hajia Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, Ag. Accountant General of the Federation, AGF, Mr. Sylva Okolieaboh amongst others too government functionaries.

Emir of Lafia, Hon. Justice Sidi Bage Mohammed 1 and Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero are the two leading Royal Fathers of the day.

The book launch will also feature a special lecture with the theme: Public Financial Management and Accounting: Impact on the Nigerian Economy’ will be delivered by Professor ABC Akujuobi, the immediate past Head of Financial Department, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State.

The book is expected to be officially unveiled by the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral A Z Gambo.
