Oba Dr. Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede OFR, the Olowa and Paramount King of the Igbara-Oke kingdom, has congratulated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the winner of the February 25, 2023, presidential election, on his well-deserved and divinely-ordained triumph.

The monarch in a statement disclosed that Asiwaju’s victory was due to his well-documented record of numerous accomplishments, including his work as a former governor who helped build the modern and enviable state of Lagos as well as his unwavering dedication to the advancement of humankind.

According to the Olowa, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ayodeji Owolabi, Tinubu’s zero tolerance for mismanagement and retrogression in the political sphere and his ability to demonstrate emplacement of a better, alternative progressive leadership are noted by all, to the consternation of principalities and powers that had held Nigeria’s development hostage for a number of years.

Oba Agbede emphasied that Tinubu’s ability to govern Nigeria effectively was shown by his Midas touch in Lagos State, which is currently the continent’s fourth-largest economy. Also, the Third Republic’s disastrous administration and the time he spent fighting as a NADECO chieftain during the implementation of the mandate from June 12, 1993, marked the beginning of Nigeria’s fight for emancipation.

The Monarch declared that Yoruba traditional leaders, as the guardians of cultures and traditions, are more than ready to lead the process of total ownership and support from the Asiwaju-led administration in Nigeria by coordinating with pertinent organizations to emphasize the significance of positive attitudinal change in the minds of Nigerians beginning from our respective domains and communities.

“However, the task is no doubt enormous, but I believe that God who gave him the wisdom to turn Lagos State around, gave the victory at the APC primaries, and ultimate victory at the general elections would give him the wisdom and all the wherewithal required to bring about the needed paradigm shift, to create the expected national platform for real sustainable development of Nigeria that everyone and the coming generations would be proud of.”
