Just In: Akwa Ibom Commissioner of Police, Waheed Ayilara dies in Lagos

The Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State, Waheed Ayilara had passed on.

Ayilara was said to have died early on Thursday morning at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.

The CP was said to have gone through prostate cancer surgery on Wednesday. But he succumbed to the cold hands of death on Thursday.

Ayilara is scheduled to be buried on Thursday according to Islamic rites.
