Inspector Musa Audu, the police officer whose assault rifle was seen in the hands of Pastor Uche Aigbe, faces dismissal as Sadiq Abubakar, the police commissioner in charge of the Federal Capital Territory, has made a recommendation to Usman Alkali Baba, the Inspector-General of Police.

Abubakar has recommended to Baba the dismissal of the officer for violating the regulations governing the handling of firearms by police officers.
Audu is expected to face an orderly room trial to answer questions on why he released his firearm, strictly a police asset, to Aigbe, the presiding pastor at House on the Rock, Abuja, on Sunday.
It was earlier reported that the handling of an AK-47 assault rifle by the pastor as a private individual was not in tandem with Nigerian laws and he could be punished for doing so.
