Leeds United fire manager Jesse Marsch

Leeds manager,  Jesse Marsch, was on Monday sacked from his position in the club following the club’s struggles on the pitch.

This was disclosed on the club’s Twitter handle on Monday.

“Leeds United can confirm head coach Jesse Marsch has been relieved of his duties,” the tweet read.

Marsch, former Leipzig coach, was appointed on a three-year contract to replace the sacked Marcelo Bielsa.

The last victory recorded by the club in the Premier League was on November 5. This led to fans of the club calling for the sack of  Marsch.

“Jesse joined the club in February 2022 and was instrumental in keeping the club in the Premier League on the final day of last season,” the statement read.

It further noted that plans are ongoing to appoint a new coach.

“The process of appointing a new head coach is underway and we will continue to keep supporters up to date throughout the coming days,” it added.
