Wike was set to win the primary in order to become the party’s flag bearer for the 2023 presidential election till Governor Tambuwal of Sokoto state stepped down and backed Atiku Abubakar, another top aspirant.

Unfortunately for Wike, Atiku was declared winner of the election at around 11pm, just three hours after Tambuwal stepped down for him.

Meanwhile, popular Prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele had warned the governor not to contest for the presidency because he will not win. Primate Ayodele was quoted advising Wike to pursue the Vice President slot instead of the presidential.

The man of God went further to say Wike should find someone among the prominent politicians to support while he becomes the running mate.

These were his words

” Governor Wike cannot become the president of Nigeria, he should pursue a vice president slot, he should not waste money and energy rather, he should support a presidential candidate that he can deputize.’’

Unfortunately, Governor Wike was hell bent on becoming the candidate of the PDP and was unable to listen to the spiritual warnings of the man of God.

He was seen boasting in interviews that there is no one that can defeat him in the presidential primaries.

Sadly, Governor Wike took second in the election, destroying his chances of becoming the next president of the country.

This is just a case of to be forewarned is to be forearmed, if Wike had listened, he would not be facing such a disappointment.

No doubt, this is a message to other politicians that have been warned by the prophet on their ambitions.
