Ekiti Chief Judge escapes death As Court Wall Collapses On Him

Ekiti State Chief Judge, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, escaped death on Wednesday, when a section of the state high court complex collapsed on him while in the office.

Justice Adeyeye is said to be currently receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital in the state.

The event reportedly occurred on Wednesday near the end of the workday, according to Daily Trust. The collapse occurred while the judge was still in his chamber.

The situation might not be unrelated to a structural shortfall made worse by the heavy rain.

No one was killed in the fall, but the Chief Judge is said to have suffered significant injuries when a portion of the office fell on top of him. According to Daily trust.

The judge had to be extricated from the wreckage after significant labour.

A visit to the Registrar’s office to obtain more information was unsuccessful since the Registrar requested that journalists return later via a staff member.
